Leeming, Glenda. WHO’S WHO IN JANE AUSTEN AND THE BRONTES (1974). Lists each author separately; identifies characters, major and small, in a handy alphabetical listing.
Olsen, Kristin. ALL THINGS AUSTEN (2005). Due to come out in October 2008 in an abridged one-volume paperback edition, the serious student of Austen will hunt down a copy of the original two-volume edition. A welcome encylopedia on ‘All things Austen’.

Persuasions Journal - The annual journal of JASNA. An effort is underway to present earlier years of the journal in an online format. The website also enables back issues to be purchased.
Persuasions Online Journal - In the last few years, the internet has made it possible for more articles than make the print copy of the journal to be brought before the public. Spring 2008 also saw a special ‘web only’ journal of articles on Austen and travel: Global Austen.
RED: The Reading Experience Database 1450-1945. A searchable database of the reading experience of British subjects, by Open University (UK). If you search ‘Jane Austen’ you will get a listing of all the books read cited in her letters, etc, as well as the many references to other’s readings of Austen. A wonderful resource!
