(Insert tune from Fiddler on the Roof) If I were a rich [wo]man… I only hope these items find a proper home, in particular the Emma set owned by Anne Sharp and the NA and P set. It seems that in Sotheby’s, it has been forgotten that there was another connection between Fulwar Craven Fowle and the Austens, since he was married to Eliza Lloyd, elder sister of Martha and Mary.

I ll take the set of Auten first editions for sale on the 21 for Christmas please. Sadly for me the range given by Christies actually seems low. Maybe I ll uncover a set at a flea market
